Description
An Indian Blanket Flower is visited by a bumble bee and illuminated with available light in my garden. The Kiowa Indians believed the flowers brought good luck. The Indian blanket flower is the state wildflower of Oklahoma. I discovered them while living in Texas.
Gaillardia pulchella (Firewheel, Indian blanket, Indian Blanketflower, or Sundance), is a short-lived perennial or annual flowering plant native to the central United States.
