Description
A coin left on a headstone let's the family know someone stopped by to pay their respects. A nickel means that you and the deceased soldier trained at boot camp together. If you served with the soldier, you leave a dime. A quarter is very significant because it means that you were there when that soldier was killed.
Memorial Day of 2014, image shot using natural light with the help of a reflector. It was an overcast, windy day. Rain had collected on the monument from a storm the night before. I used a brown tone with selective coloring and a little texture.

Chris, this has so much meaning and I had no idea what any of that meant. Thank you for giving us that information. Beautiful image. Really touched my heart.
