ya know... I 1st was drawn to the ethereal softness of the snow & trees. Love that kind of feeling in images! Then I was surprised by the bench; I also like those kinds of surprises and accents :)

Artist's Description

While working in my garden, snow began to fall, the flakes increasing in size. I went for a short drive to get to a college campus. Hard to believe this woodland scene is located off our main drag. It makes for interesting driving during deer season.

Snow is precipitation in the form of flakes of crystalline water ice that fall from clouds. Since snow is composed of small ice particles, it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft structure, unless subjected to external pressure. Snowflakes come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Types that fall in the form of a ball due to melting and refreezing, rather than a flake, are known as hail, ice pellets or snow grains.
