Up close and personal with a honeybee. Image shot using available light, outdoors in my garden. This colossal bloom is from Grinter Farms, a local row crop farm that grows these beauties for birdseed. Farmer Ted and his wife are very tolerant and welcome people to come to the field. There are forty acres, quite a sight to behold. You are also welcome to pick flowers and donate money to the farm, on site by using the steel boxes in the field to make your deposit.

I worked in high volume labs printing in a darkroom before moving to Dallas, Texas, working in the photo district in a custom BW lab, printing murals and linens for artists all over the world. I later worked as a photographers assistant in commercial fashion and product shoots in studio and on location and in-studio labs. After becoming ill, I returned to my hometown.
